Boitumelo Mogopa is the Chief Executive Officer of Metropolitan Life of Botswana Limited and Executive Director of the Board. The transformational leader is a sustainability champion and relationship builder, with over 23 years of experience in the Financial Services sector covering Finance, Treasury, Retail, and Private Banking, Boitumelo is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) (UK) and the Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants (BICA), a Bcom graduate from the University of Botswana. Her passion for excellence in business and everything she does has enabled her to be successful throughout her career giving birth to nominations and awards. Boitumelo sat on the FNBB EXCO as a Retail Director and is a retired LLR Board Chair, showcasing her abilities to increase shareholder value, manage country teams and drive results. The enthusiastic visionary embodies outstanding leadership in business and has achieved positive financial results, sound management, proven corporate governance, and embodies intangible qualities such as vision and integrity. Transitioning the Retail business from product to true customer centricity has been the foundation that has anchored her leadership and strategy to command the largest market share by all measures, customer numbers, advances, deposits, profitability at the bank. Transitioning into Life insurance has seen her leverage her skills and experience to bring an excellence culture to Metropolitan , to position the company to take up space and give value to customers and in turn grow market share.
